The Yorkshire Coast

Located close to the Yorkshire coast, there is the opportunity to explore the local beaches such as Fraisethorpe Beach (10 min), a perfect place for a stroll to take in the sea air whilst stopping off at the Cow Shed Tearoom for a spot of Lunch. The charming seaside town of Skipsea is a short five minute drive from Beeford, and the towns of Bridlington & Hornsea are also close by (15 min). RSPB Bempton Cliffs and Flamborough Head (30 mins) are two other popular tourist attractions along the beautiful Yorkshire coastline. You might even spot some Seals on the beaches or Puffins on the cliff tops.

The Yorkshire Wolds

The beautiful Yorkshire Wolds are ideal for walking with routes like the Yorkshire Wolds Way or the Wolds Rangers Way. There is also the Yorkshire Wolds Cycle Route as well as countless unofficial cycling and walking routes to explore the area and stop off at one of the many great village pubs for a meal and a drink. Explore Sledmere House and grounds (30 mins) and take a walk through the Deer Park before visiting the cafe and shop.

For those racing enthusiasts Beverley Racecourse just 14 miles away makes for the perfect day to enjoy with family and friends. The historic market town of Beverley really is one of Yorkshire's best kept secrets, head straight to the Minster and soak up some Medieval charm followed by lunch in one of the many eateries on offer. The Michelin star awarded Westwood or Whites resturant will not disappoint or you can venture out a bit further to the Pipe & Glass in South Dalton. Waters sports can be enjoyed at the Fosse Hill Jet Ski Centre and Billabong Water Sports in Brandesburton, just 5 miles away.

Further afield Sea Life, Scarborough (45 mins) and Flamingo Land, Malton (55mins) or the historic city of York (1 hr), are all ideal destinations for a day out. Explore Goathland and the North York Moors Railway in the heart of the North York Moors National Park (1hr 10mins) and then head over to historic Whitby for some Fish n' Chips. You could also visit Dalby Forest (1 hr) and explore the numerous cycling and walking routes or brave the ziplines at Go Ape.
